What does the error message "1099-S can no longer be accepted" mean?

This error means that the date of your closing is for a tax year that has already been closed.
  • Verify the closing date 
  • If the date was incorrect: correct it, re-import 1099-S and submit
  • If correct: check to confirm you are not beyond the cut-off date* and if needed, contact Easysoft support to verify that submissions are no longer being accepted for that tax year. 
*NOTE: 1099's for a particular tax year will typically not be accepted after January 31st of the following year.
